Gooch & Gooch LLC Announces Entry

into Needlearts Marketing Business

“Positive Yarn” provides marketing insights for designers, retailers in growing niche industry

MEDINA, Ohio – Dec. 3, 2008 – Gooch & Gooch LLC, an editorial services company specializing in business-to-business trade media, is expanding its expertise to include the professional needlearts industry. Positive Yarn is Gooch & Gooch’s entry into this market, encompassing a marketing insights blog, monthly e-newsletter, and a variety of editorial services (including press releases, brochures, newsletters and electronic materials) for retailers, designers and small manufacturers.

“I wanted to take the more than 13 years of experience writing for and working directly with small-business owners and combine it with my interest in needlearts,” said Heather Gooch, principal of Gooch & Gooch LLC. “I’ve seen such creativity stem from people who are committed to finding and retaining customers, and I want to share those insights with people in this industry.”

Before starting the two-person firm with her husband, Jamie, three years ago, Gooch spent 10 years as an editor of a national trade publication focused on small business tips and trends. She has even edited two small-business marketing books for her former employer, Questex Media Group. Currently, Gooch provides marketing expertise for a family-owned small manufacturer, a service business and a local dance troupe. She also assists with the marketing efforts of The National NeedleArts Association, of which she is a member.

“Through The National NeedleArts Association, I’ve learned a lot about the industry,” said Gooch. “Now that I’m participating as both an artist and a marketer, I look forward to bringing even more awareness and success to the industry.”

In her spare time, Gooch is the newsletter editor and photographer for her local needlework guild, as well as photographer and librarian of her local chapter of the Embroidery Guild of America.
